Snacks from the World Food Program!
Mid-day snacks are dispersed to students in Al Zaatari camp schools to provide them with the energy they need to continue their studies and actively participate during class.
This World Food Program is partnered with Save the Children to help provide these snacks and transport them to the camps. Teachers claim that the ability of the students to participate energetically has improved since the program began.
WFP plans to increase the distribution of nutritious snacks to approximately 30,000 children in the UNICEF run schools in the Al Zaatari camps.
The World Food Program stresses the need for children to be back in school and get the education they need despite their difficult circumstances.
