syria

18 April 2011
On this day, from the memory of the revolution, the Syrian regime committed one of the biggest massacres in the history of the revolution. It was not the last, but it was one of the first big horrible crimes. The number of victims is not confirmed, but it was sure committed against unarmed civilians. It was after the revolution passed its first month. Our rebels decided to make a sit-in as a peaceful mean demanding the regime to leave. The civilians gathered around the famous clock in Homs, and chanted against the regime.
The regime would not allow such a huge number of crowds to chant unfavorable words. They open fire on bare chests.
According to some defecting security officer, the number of victims could exceed 300. The Syrian regime removed the bodies in trucks to the Military hospital in Homs. The massacre passed just like others: as if nothing happened.
But we will never forget, as we will never forget others.
