 Every day, Assad’s warplanes and helicopter gunships drop more than 30 TNT-filled barrel bombs on Aleppo On Sunday 02-02-2014, 63 barrel bombs were dropped on densely populated civilian areas of the city They fell on men, women, children, the disabled, and the elderly, on everyone. They fell on homes full of people, on shops and markets. Assad’s carpet bombing has destroyed the civic infrastructure, not only with barrel bombs but with all kinds of weapons. The people of Syria have done no wrong; we only demanded the freedom and dignity that are our and all people’s birthright. We asked only for democracy. Assad still believes that he can enslave the people, but we are not his possession; this is the 21st century. We demand our freedom.
