syria

Fida al Jundi, a friend, wrote the following regarding a statement made by the so called Mohamed Al Jolani:

I want to know first who is this Mohammed Al Jolani who claims that he is Al Nusra Group leader, and that he represents the people of the Golan Heights, and that he is connected to Alqaeda in Iraq??

The fact is that no body has seen this fellow or heard of him before, and no body knows him in person. He could be a fictitious character created by the Syrian regime for obvious reasons.

The writer continues to say...............if any body happens to know this person or has any contact with him, we shall be glad to know any information about him, and we want to know if he really exists in the first place.

People living in the Golan Heights, where this person claims he belongs to do not know this person, and in such rural areas, families know each other closely. They say they have not heard of him at all. They have heard his tape recordings only, and knew him from the news only. People in the area said that even if he ever existed, they are not consulted about acknowledging appointing him as Al Nusra leader or Alqaeda follower. They refuse to connect themselves with Alzawahiri or any person that does not have the spirit of the Syrian revolution.

Revolutionists say that this character is a fabrication made by the regime to sabotage the reputation of the Free Syrian Army. The Syrian people is well educated , with moderate views, and its Free Army does not target civilians, nor has any connections to Alqaeda where ever it exists.
