...for those who don’t understand what solitary confinement can do to a human being:

Meet former prisoner Uwaida Kallab:

after spending 20 years in solitary, Kallab is suffering from a serious psychological disorder that keeps him isolated from the surrounding environment even after he won his freedom. The only question he asked after his release was: "where's my mother?".

despite his condition, he still can remember all the details of his life before his captivity. When he was asked about the age of his son when he was captured he answered: "40 days", but he cannot identify his son after his long captivity.

Israel’s cruel and degrading treatment extends to those who democratically represent civil society...”the isolation of MP Ahmed Saadat, the secretary general of the popular front for the liberation of Palestine, and many others is an attempt to break their determination and subject them to the Israeli prisons authority's (IPA) dictates.

The minister charged that the policy is in violation of the international doctrines and agreements that incriminate humiliating and torturing humans and isolating them.

The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) is trying to turn the isolated prisoner into a mentally and physically disturbed person, adding that the IPA isolates 16 Palestinian prisoners in the "slow death isolation graves".
